On September 23, 2024, we had our first Zoom session with Professor Snezana, students from Frankfurt University of Applied Science, and Kaushik Bhuyan, Assistant Professor at Assam Don Bosco University. After a deep dive into this year’s theme, „Food, Love, and Diversity,“ we were divided into groups based on our interests. Our radio program team, with members Anusha, Mamoni and Anushriya from Assam Don Bosco University along with Sara from Frankfurt University quickly brainstormed potential approaches. We set up a WhatsApp group for ongoing discussions, exchanged ideas, and laid the foundation for our next steps in the project.

For the second day, the team members of the Radio group brainstormed ideas on how to go about with writing the script, what subtopics to focus on and how to go about with the editing due to the vast difference in time. Firstly, we attended the daily zoom call meeting to update the student exchange faculty mentors Professor Snezana from Frankfurt University of Applied Science, Germany and Kaushik Bhuyan, Assistant Professor at Assam Don Bosco University about our group proceedings and soon after we got together to discuss amongst ourselves.

We attended the Zoom call meeting for the Virtual Exchange programme and updated the faculties in charge of our proceedings with the project. The radio group resumed with their tasks at hand. We got together early in the morning at around 9:30 a.m (IST) to discuss the script and finalize it for the final recording, which was to take place later in the afternoon. We prepared a radio script on the topic at hand along with a special radio drama script too. By 1:45 p.m (IST), the Radio team members from India recorded their parts and were in frequent contact with our team member from Germany. We completed our recording by 3:30 p.m (IST)

As per our daily schedule, we had a briefing session with our mentors over Zoom call to give updates on the project that we are working on. With the completion of our recording, we were left with the task of editing and putting all the audio files together. We downloaded jingles, bumpers and sweepers of online radio station of ADBU on Spotify ‚Radio Tapesia‘ and began editing our final project. This was the task we mainly focussed on today so that we could be ready for our presentation tomorrow. Along with finishing the radio program, we will also make a 3 min teaser of our program which will be presented during the final presentation tomorrow (27th Sep).
